Our new business unit was established in late 2025, with office in Utrecht. We are now recruiting a Senior or Principal Consultant to the team.

ORS Consulting (ORS) was founded in 2009 as an independent provider of consulting services within industrial risk management. We support clients in identifying risks, preventing accidents, and optimizing processes in technically complex systems and facilities. Our work contributes to safe, secure, and reliable operations across industries such as oil and gas, renewable energy, chemicals, and defence.

ORS is an international company with offices in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, and the Netherlands, where we recently established a new office in Utrecht. We operate as “One Team,” collaborating across borders and disciplines. As a consultant at ORS, you will be part of a strong international network and work with clients across diverse industries and geographical regions.

Typical responsibilities

• Advise clients on managing industrial risks throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to operation, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards;

• Support clients in executing risk management activities across technical safety, process safety, barrier management, and availability and reliability analyses;

• Perform independent risk and reliability assessments, including HAZOP, HAZID, FMECA, SIL studies, and RAM analysis, to identify hazards and optimize system performance;

• Collaborate closely with client teams to implement risk mitigation measures, strengthen safety culture, and enhance operational resilience.

Your profile

• A team player who enjoys knowledge sharing and solving challenges through collaboration;

• Eager to adapt to new technologies and complex systems;

• You enjoy collaborating with people. Even though our projects are technical and the systems are complex, our focus is primarily on people;

• You have an MSc or PhD within a technical discipline. Our consultants come from diverse technical backgrounds, including chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, risk management and energy and environment;

• You have at least 5 years of experience in risk management, including aspects such as process safety, risk analyses, and/or workshop facilitation;

• You are efficient and like to work on project basis with tight deadlines;

• You are good at expressing yourself both orally and in writing in English and Dutch.
